Bill Simmons is a writer for ESPN The Magazine and also does some great pieces for Page 2. He certainly has one of the sweeter jobs out there. Anyways, he wrote a column about the Karate Kid and, if you grew up in the 80s, it is a must read. There is no way you won't be laughing your ass off halfway through the story.
